God's Testimonies are Very Sure - Psalms 93:5

In Psalms ninety-three the Psalmist said, “The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yes, than the mighty waves of the sea”, and in chapter ninety-three and verse five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “your testimonies are very sure” where we read,

Your testimonies are very sure: holiness becomes your house, O LORD, for ever.

The verse begins, “Your testimonies are very sure:” The Psalmist began with the words, “your testimonies” or “your, Jehovah God's, divine witnesses” “are very sure” which means “exist as exceedingly, abundantly and forcefully supported, confirmed and faithful”. The Psalmist declared Jehovah God's witnesses to be exceedingly confirmed and faithful.

The verse continues, “holiness becomes your house, O LORD, for ever.” The Psalmist added the word, “holiness” or “sacredness, separateness and set-apartness” “becomes your house” which means “is befitting and comely to be your, Jehovah God's, dwelling place, abode and shelter”, “O LORD” or “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “for ever” which means “for long duration, everlasting, perpetually, unto perpetuity and unto continuous existence”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's sacredness and set-apartness is befitting to be His dwelling place and habitation perpetually.

When mediate upon the words in this verse, we discover how the Psalmist declared Jehovah God's witness to be exceedingly confirmed and faithful, and His sacredness is His dwelling place for all eternity. God's word is true, and when He declares anything, it shall be. He is a “holy” God, and His desire is to be in a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be a part of His testimony and “holiness” forever and ever.
