Saying the LORD Cannot See - Psalms 94:7

In Psalms ninety-four the Psalmist asked, “LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph? How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? They break in pieces your people, O LORD, and afflict your heritage. They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless”, and in chapter ninety-four and verse seven of Psalms the Psalmist shared how the enemies of Jehovah God, “say, The LORD shall not see” where we read,

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

The verse begins, Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “yet they say” or “still they, the wicked, speak, declare and proclaim”, “The LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “shall not see” or “will in no way or manner perceive, have vision, regard or look after”. The Psalmist said the wicked people proclaim that Jehovah God does not observe or regard their evil behavior.

The verse continues,... neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.” The Psalmist added the words, “neither shall the God” or “no and not in any way will the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “of Jacob” which means “belonging to Jacob whose name means heel-catcher or supplanter and was the son of Isaac, grandson of Abraham, and father of the twelve patriarchs of the tribes of Israel ” “regard it” or “discern, understand, consider or perceive the evil behavior and acts performed by the wicked”. The Psalmist shared how the wicked declared that Jehovah God who is the God of “Jacob” or “Israel” would not perceive or consider their evil acts.

When think through the words in this verse, we learn how the Psalmist said the wicked people thought and declared that Jehovah God did not observe their wicked acts and that He in no way would consider them. They were wrong. God sees every act, deed and action performed, and He knows our thoughts and words as well. Knowing all these errors and wrongs were committed by people, He sent His Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross and raised three days later so we could be forgiven of our sins and granted everlasting life with Him. God loves people, and even though they act wickedly and He is aware of everything, He continues to invite us to receive His Son Jesus as our “Savior and Lord” so we may live forever in Heaven with Him.

Next time the Psalmist says, “understand, you brutish among the people”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
