Planted in the House of the LORD - Psalms 92:13

In Psalms ninety-two the Psalmist said, “My eye also shall see my desire on my enemies, and my ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon”, and in chapter ninety-two and verse thirteen of Psalms the Psalmist shares about, “those that are planted in the house of the LORD” where we read,

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

The verse begins, Those that be planted in the house of the LORD ... The Psalmist began with the words, “those that be planted” or “the people whether male or female who are transplanted” “in the house” which means “within the dwelling place, abode and habitation” “of the LORD” or “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist referred to people who are transplanted within the dwelling place of Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say,... shall flourish in the courts of our God. The Psalmist continued with the words, “shall flourish” or “will bud, blossom, break forth and spring up” “in the courts” which means “within the enclosure, settled abode, village and town” “of our God” or “belonging to our, the Psalmist and the people with Him's, Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. The Psalmist said people who are transplanted within the dwelling place of Jehovah God will bud and blossom within the settled abode and enclosure of the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God.

When think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist emphasized the importance of people being established within the dwelling place of Jehovah God. Those who are transplanted there will bloom and blossom within Jehovah God's settled abode. In other words, people who stay within the dwelling place of Jehovah God excel in the world. God wants us to prosper spiritually for all eternity, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind so we can be forgiven of our sins and live forever with Him. When we live where God lives, we shall prosper, expand and thrive in His Kingdom and in this world.

Next time the Psalmist says, “they shall still bring forth in old age”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
