The LORD is Upright - Psalms 92:15

In Psalms ninety-two the Psalmist said, “those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing”, and in chapter ninety-two and verse fifteen of Psalms the Psalmist said, “to show that the LORD is upright” where we read,

To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

The verse begins, To show that the LORD is upright: The Psalmist began with the words, “to show” or “to be conspicuous, tell, declare, make known, announce and report” “that the LORD” which means “that Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is upright” or “exists as straight, correct, level, right and pleasing”. The Psalmist said the reason the people who are planted in the house of the LORD and flourish in their older years is so they can declare and make known the rightness and pleasure of Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say,he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. The Psalmist continued with the words, “he is my rock” or “he, Jehovah God, exists as my, the Psalmist's, block of stone, boulder and strength”, “and there is no unrighteousness” which means “and there is not any injustice, wrong or violent deeds of perverseness” “in him” or “within him, Jehovah God”. The Psalmist proclaimed Jehovah God to be his strong foundation, and no injustice, violent deeds or wrongs exist within Him.

When mediate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist said the reason people who are planted in the house of the Lord and flourish in their old age is so they can demonstrate to others that Jehovah God is correct and right, and he said God is his foundation who is without any wrong. This same God desires to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we surrender to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will for give our sins, grant us everlasting life, allow us to see Him as “upright”, know Him as our “rock” and find Him completely “righteous” for all eternity.

Next time we begin a new chapter and see the Psalmist say, “The LORD reigns, he is clothed with majesty”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
