In Psalms chapter sixty-five David said of Jehovah God, “by his strength sets fast the mountains; being girded with power: Which stills the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people”, and in chapter sixty-five and verse eight of Psalms David said, “They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your tokens” where we read,
They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your tokens:
you make the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.
The verse begins, “They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at your tokens:” David began with the words, “they also that dwell” or “even so and indeed the people whether male or female who remain, live and abide” “in the uttermost parts” which means “within the termination, extremities and ends of the earth” “are afraid at your tokens” or “fear, revere, are in awe and astonishment of your, Jehovah God's, signals, banners, distinguishing marks”. David said the people who live in the extremities of the earth fear Jehovah God's signals and distinguishing marks.
The verse continues, “you make the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice.” David added the words, “you make the outgoings” or “you, Jehovah God, give a loud and ringing cry or exaltation toward the acts, issues, exports and sources” “of the morning” which means “belonging to the break of day, sunrise and early dawn” “and evening” or “and dusk, sunset or nighttime” “to rejoice” which means “to shout for joy, give a ringing cry and exalt with praise”. David said Jehovah God provided the days from dawn to dusk to give Him praise, honor and glory.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how people all over the world, even unto the extreme parts of it, are in fear and awe of Jehovah God's acts and deeds, and He created the days and nights so those within them may give a ringing cry and praise to Him. God wants people to humble themselves and worship Him, and when He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified for the sins of all mankind. Everyone is invited to receive Him as “Savior and Lord” to be forgiven or their sins and granted everlasting life with Him. God loves us, and He created His world, even unto the extremities of it, so people would be in awe of and give reverence to Him forever.
Next time David says of Jehovah God, “You visit the earth, and water it”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
