Psalms chapter sixty-six begins with the heading, “[[To the chief Musician, A Song or Psalm.]]” which breaks down, “to the chief Musician” or “to the preeminent, overseeing superintendent or chief choir director” “A Song” which means “a musical ode” “or Psalm” which refers to “a poem or melody set to notes”, and in chapter sixty-six and verse one of Psalms David said, “Make a joyful noise unto God” where we read,
Make a joyful noise unto God, all you lands:
The verse begins, “Make a joyful noise unto God, ...” David began with the words, “make a joyful noise” or “raise a sound, cry, blast and shout” “unto God” which means “to the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David instructed his readers and listeners to raise a sound and shout to the Divine judge Jehovah God.
The verse continues, “... all you lands:” David added the word, “all” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of” “you lands” which means “the countries, territories and regions of the world”. David encouraged everyone throughout the world to “make a joyful noise unto God”.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David desired that everyone in the world raise a loud sound and shout unto the Divine judge Jehovah God. God is worthy of our praise and honor, and when we raise our voices to acknowledge Him through His Son Jesus as our Almighty God, He is well pleased with us. God sent His Son Jesus to be crucified for the sins of the world, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and grant us with the opportunity to give Him thanks through our shouting, worship and words. Let all honor, glory and praise be unto Jehovah God and Jesus Christ His Son for their blessings upon us around the world.
Next time David says, “Sing forth the honor of his name”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
