Turning the Sea into Dry Land - Psalms 66:6

In Psalms chapter sixty-six David said, “Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men”, and in chapter sixty-six and verse six of Psalms David said, “He turned the sea into dry land” where we read,

He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.

The verse begins, He turned the sea into dry land:” David began with the words, “He turned the sea” or “He, the Divine judge Jehovah God, overthrew, overturned, changed and transformed the large bodies of water such as the Red, Dead and Mediterranean Seas” “into dry land” which means “into parched, sun-dried and scorched ground”. David said Jehovah God changed the wet “sea” into parched and scorched ground. (See Exodus 14)

The verse goes on to say, they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him” David continued with the words, “they went through the flood” or “they, the children of Israel, traveled and journeyed on a dry path through the waters of the Red Sea” “on foot” which means “upon their physical feet”: “there did we rejoice” or “within the Red Sea that was made dry by God we, the people of Israel, were glad, exulted and gleeful” “in him” which means “within the Divine judge Jehovah God”. David referred to the way the children of Israel traveled on the dry ground through the Red Sea and were made glad in their progress.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David referred to the time the children of Israel passed through the Red Sea upon dry ground because God made the path for them. (See Exodus 14:16,22) God is a miracle working God, and since He created the world, He could easily make a path of dry ground in the middle of the Red Sea for the children of Israel to cross. The Bible is filled with miracle after miracle performed by Jehovah God, and those who examine His scriptures will find that God has sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of everybody, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and fill us with joy as we realize we have been a part of the greatest miracle of all – the salvation of mankind.

Next time David says, “He rules by his power for ever”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
