In Psalms chapter sixty-seven David said, “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah”, and in chapter sixty-seven and verse two of Psalms David said, “that your way may be known upon earth” where we read,
That your way may be known upon earth, your saving health among all nations.
The verse begins, “That your way may be known upon earth, ...” David began with the words, “that your way” or “so your, Jehovah God's, manner, journey, direction and course of life” “may be known” which means “might be perceived, found out, discerned, discriminated and distinguished” “upon earth” or “in the country, territory, district, region and world”. David said when Jehovah God is merciful, blessing and causes His face to shine upon David and his countrymen, other people would be aware of His presence in the world.
The verse goes on to say, “... your saving health among all nations.” David continued with the words, “your saving health” or “your, Jehovah God's, salvation, deliverance, welfare, prosperity and victory” “among all nations” which means “within each, every, the whole and everyone of the foreign, non-Hebrew and heathen people in the world”. David said the salvation and deliverance of Jehovah God would be known throughout the world.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David desired that every person in the world know about the salvation of Jehovah God. God loves people, and He wants everyone to be in a personal relationship with Him. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to spread the good news of His deliverance to the world. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (See John 3:16)
Next time David says, “Let the people praise you”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
