In Psalms chapter sixty-five David said to Jehovah God, “You water the ridges thereof abundantly: you settle the furrows thereof: you make it soft with showers: you bless the springing thereof”, and in chapter sixty-five and verse eleven of Psalms David said of Jehovah God, “You crown the year with your goodness” where we read,
You crown the year with your goodness; and your paths drop fatness.
The verse begins, “You crown the year with your goodness;” David began with the words, “you crown the year” or “you, Jehovah God, encompass, surround and encircle the measure and division of time” “with your goodness” which means “by the use of your, Jehovah God's, pleasantness, agreeableness, excellence and value”. David said Jehovah God encompasses the measure of time with His pleasantness and excellence.
The verse goes on to say, “and your paths drop fatness.” David continued with the words, “and your paths” or “and your, Jehovah God's, track, entrenchment, circumvention and rampart” “drop fatness” which means “drips and trickles down blessings, fertility and abundance”. David said the track and entrenchment of Jehovah God trickles down blessings, fertility and abundance.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God provides an abundant harvest for mankind throughout their time on the earth. God's pleasantness, excellence and blessings are available because He is a loving God. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins which separated us from a personal relationship with Him. When we yield ourselves to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and abundantly provide for us upon the earth and in Heaven throughout the measure of time and eternity.
Next time David says the paths of Jehovah God, “drop upon the pastures of the wilderness”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
