God Remembers All Ephraim's Wickedness - Hosea 7:2

In the book of Hosea, Hosea shared how Jehovah God said, “When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria: for they commit falsehood; and the thief comes in, and the troop of robbers spoils without, and in chapter seven and verse two of Hosea, Hosea said, they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness where we read,

And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness:

now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

The verse begins, And they consider not in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness:” Hosea began with the words, “and they consider not” or “and they, the people in Ephraim and Samaria do not think, intend and avow” “in their hearts” which means “within their souls, minds, wills, living being, conscience and seat of emotions and affections” “that I remember all their wickedness” or “that I, Jehovah God, recall, call to mind and keep in remembrance each, every, the whole and everyone of their, Ephraim and Samaria's, bad, disagreeableness, malignancy, unpleasantness and evil”. Hosea shared how the people in “Ephraim and Samaria” did not think within their souls and minds that Jehovah God recalled every one of their evil acts and deeds.

The verse continues, now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.” Hosea added the words, “now their own doings” or “at this time their, the people of Ephraim and Samaria's, own personal practices, acts and deeds” “have beset them about” which means “have turned, changed and transformed them, Ephraim and Samaria”; “they are before my face” or “they, the works and deeds of Ephraim and Samaria, exist in front and in the presence of my, Jehovah God's, countenance”. Hosea shared how Jehovah God knew the acts and deeds of “Ephraim and Samaria”changed the people, and He was aware of every one of them.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Hosea how Jehovah God recalled the evil deeds of “Ephraim and Samaria”, but they did not believe or think that He did. However, they could not conceal their wickedness from Him because their evil deeds were always in front of Him. God knows our sin as well, and nothing and no one is able to hide from Him, and yet, He loves us. He wants to forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind to prove it. When we humble ourselves, repent of our sins and ask Him to come into our lives, He is faithful to remove all our wicked acts and deeds and to make us righteous before His eyes. (See 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Next time Hosea says, “they make the king glad with their wickedness, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
