In the book of Zechariah, Zechariah said, “it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark. But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light”, and in chapter fourteen and verse eight of Zechariah, Zechariah shared how Jehovah God said, “ living waters shall go out from Jerusalem” where we read,
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem;
half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea:
in summer and in winter shall it be.
The verse reads, “And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem;” Zechariah began with the words, “and it shall be in that day” or “and the following will happen or occur within that time period or season”, “that living waters” which means “that fresh, flowing and active springs or watercourses” “shall go out from Jerusalem” or “will exit, go forth and proceed separate and apart from Jerusalem whose name means teaching of peace and is the chief city of Palestine and capital of the united kingdom and the nation of Judah after the split”. Zechariah said within that time period, fresh and active water flowing would exit and proceed apart from the city of “Jerusalem”.
The verse goes on to say, “half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and winter it shall be” Zechariah continued with the words, “half of them” or “one-half of the fresh water springs” “toward the former sea” which means “in a direction where the east, anterior or ancient large body of water such as the Dead Sea is located”, “and half of them” or “and one-half of the fresh water springs” “toward the hinder sea” which means “to the west, latter and re-reward location of the large body of water such as the Mediterranean Sea”: “In summer and winter” or “within the summertime months and wintertime months” “it shall be” which means “the flowing of the fresh water springs will exist”. Zechariah shared how the fresh water springs would traverse “toward” the “Dead Sea” on the east and the “Mediterranean Sea” on the west.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Zechariah how there will be a fresh water spring that flows in both eastern and western directions toward large Seas such as the Dead and Mediterranean. Because the mount of Olives splits in two, a valley shall be formed through which fresh water flows. These events will occur in both the “wintertime and summertime” seasons. God is able to restructure the earth and it's elements to allow the advance of His Kingdom in the world. God loves us, and He proved His love toward us when He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we put our faith and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us His Holy Spirit so we are aware of how He affects the fresh spring waters in different directions and different seasons for His purposes and plan.
Next time Zechariah says, “the LORD shall be king over all the earth”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
