Calling Upon God and He Answers - Psalms 91:15

In Psalms ninety-one the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God said the following about the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High, “Because he has set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he has known my name”, and in chapter ninety-one and verse fifteen of Psalms the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God said, “He shall call upon me, and I will answer him” where we read,

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble;

I will deliver him, and honor him.

The verse begins, He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; The Psalmist began with the words, “he shall call upon me” or “he, the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High, will cry aloud, proclaim, summon and invite me, Jehovah God”, “and I will answer him” which means “and I, Jehovah God, shall pay heed, give attention and respond to him, the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High”. “I will be with him” or “I, Jehovah God, shall accompany and be beside him, the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High“in trouble” which means “in straits, distress and vexation”. The Psalmist said the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High will cry out to Jehovah God, and He will respond to them and accompany them when they face distress and vexation.

The verse goes on to say,I will deliver him, and honor him. The Psalmist continued with the words, “I will deliver him” or “I, Jehovah God, shall rescue, save and liberate him, the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High”, “and honor him” which means “and glorify, promote and enrich him, the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High”. The Psalmist shared how Jehovah God said He would liberate and rescue the person who dwells in the secret place of the most High and promote and enrich them as well.

When meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God knows the people who will cry out to Him when difficulties and afflictions arise. God desires to save and promote us, and this is why He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and answer, save and enrich us when afflictions come our way.

Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God says, “with long life will I satisfy him”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
