Let Your Work Appear - Psalms 90:16

In Psalms ninety Moses said to Jehovah God, “Make us glad according to the days wherein you have afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil”, and in chapter ninety and verse sixteen of Psalms Moses said, “let your work appear unto your servants” where we read,

Let your work appear unto your servants, and your glory unto their children.

The verse begins, “Let your work appear unto your servants, ... Moses began with the words, “Let your work” or “allow and permit your, Jehovah God's, deeds, acts and doings to” “appear unto your servants” which means “be seen, observed, considered, given attention to, discerned and distinguished by your, Jehovah God's, people of servile condition, bondmen and worshipers”. Moses wanted Jehovah God to allow His worshipers to observe His acts and deeds.

The verse continues, “... and your glory unto their children. Moses added the words, “and your glory” or “and your, Jehovah God's, ornament, splendor, honor and majesty” “unto their children” which means “toward their, the people's, offspring and descendants”. Moses wanted Jehovah God to allow the people and their offspring to observe His splendor, honor and majesty.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how Moses wanted Jehovah God to reveal Himself to the people. If God allowed the people to see His acts and deeds and to observe His honor and splendor, they would indeed be blessed. God wants to reveal Himself to us in a personal intimate relationship with Him, and He provided access to that relationship through His Son Jesus dying upon the cross for our sins. Sin separates us from God, and Jesus paid the penalty for our sins so when we believe and trust in Him we may be forgiven of our sins and receive everlasting life with Him. God loves us, wants to show us His acts and deeds and will allow us to observe His honor, splendor and majesty when we put our faith and trust in Him.

Next time Moses says, “let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
