LORD, You Have Made Me Glad - Psalms 92:4

In Psalms ninety-two the Psalmist said, It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto your name, O most High, to show forth your lovingkindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night. Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound”, and in chapter ninety-two and verse four of Psalms the Psalmist said, “you, LORD, have made me glad through your work” where we read,

For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work: I will triumph in the works of your hands.

The verse begins, For you, LORD, have made me glad through your work: The Psalmist began with the words, “for you” or “because, since and on account that you, Jehovah God”, “LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “have made me glad” or “have caused me, the Psalmist, to rejoice, be gladdened and gleeful” “through your work” which means “by the means of your, Jehovah God's, deed, doing and act”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God caused him to rejoice and be gleeful by the means of His act and deed.

The verse continues,I will triumph in the works of your hands. The Psalmist added the words, “I will triumph” or “I, the Psalmist, shall overcome, shout for joy and give a ringing cry” “in the works” which means “in the acts, deeds and doings” “of your hands” or “belonging to your, Jehovah God's, hands of power, strength, part and portion”. The Psalmist said he would shout for joy and give a ringing cry within the acts and deeds of Jehovah God's power, might and strength.

When consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist declared the joy that came into His life because of the acts and deeds of Jehovah God. This is how we should be. Jehovah God sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and bring us to an abounding joy that shall make us shout and give a ringing cry unto Him. Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus whose acts and deeds have provided our joyful salvation that shall last for all eternity.

Next time the Psalmist says, “O LORD, how great are your works!”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
