Satisfy Us Early With Your Mercy - Psalms 90:14

In Psalms ninety Moses asked of Jehovah God, “Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent you concerning your servants”, and in chapter ninety and verse fourteen of Psalms Moses said, “satisfy us early with your mercy” where we read,

O satisfy us early with your mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

The verse begins, O satisfy us early with your mercy; Moses began with the words, “O satisfy us early” or “O satiate, surfeit and enrich us, Moses and the people with him, at the coming of light, in the morning or at the beginning of the day” “with your mercy” which means “by the use of your, Jehovah God's, goodness, kindness and faithfulness”. Moses wanted Jehovah God to satiate and enrich him and the people with him at the beginning of the day with His goodness, kindness and faithfulness.

The verse continues, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Moses added the words, “that we may rejoice” or “so we, Moses and the people with him, might give a ringing cry of exaltation, joy and singing aloud” “and be glad” which means “and exist as rejoicing, gladden and cheerful” “all our days” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of our, Moses and the people with him, days as defined by the evening and morning”. Moses said the reason he wanted Jehovah God to enrich them at the beginning of the morning was so he and the people with him could give a ringing cry of exaltation, joy and singing aloud while rejoicing and being cheerful every day they lived.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how Moses wanted Jehovah God to be involved in the lives of him and the people with him. He desired God's “kindness and faithfulness” because he knew with them, he and the people would sing aloud with joy and be cheerful every day they lived. God wants to be involved in our lives, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and make us joyful tol sing aloud every day of our lives.

Next time Moses says, “make us glad according to the days wherein you have afflicted us”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
