You, LORD, are Most High - Psalms 92:8

In Psalms ninety-two the Psalmist said, “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever”, and in chapter ninety-two and verse eight the Psalmist says, “you, LORD, are most high for evermore” where we read,

But you, LORD, are most high for evermore.

The verse begins, But you, LORD, ... The Psalmist began with the words, “but you” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover you, Jehovah God”, “LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. The Psalmist considered the contrast of Jehovah God to those who commit wickedness in the world.

The verse continues,... are most high for evermore. The Psalmist added the words, “are most high” or “exist as the elevated, lofty and Supreme One” “for evermore” which means “for long duration, perpetually, everlasting, unto futurity and continuous existence”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God is the lofty and Supreme One unto perpetuity and everlasting.

When meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist spoke of Jehovah God's supremacy unto continuous existence. God is the Supreme God, and no one is higher than Him. God loves people, and He chose to send His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and establish Himself as the Supreme One in our lives so that nothing we encounter is greater than Him.

Next time the Psalmist says, “O LORD … your enemies shall perish”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
