God Sending from Heaven to Save - Psalms 57:3

In Psalms chapter fifty seven David said, “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in you: yes, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performs all things for me”, and in chapter fifty-seven and verse three of Psalms David said, “He shall send from heaven, and save me”, where we read,

He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

The verse begins, He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah.” David began with the words, “He shall send from heaven” or “He, the Divine judge Jehovah God, will assign and dispatch apart and separate from the lofty region above the sky and atmosphere which is the abode of God”, “and save me” which means “and rescue, deliver and be victorious for me, David” “from the reproach of him” or “apart and separate from taunt, blasphemy, defiance, railing and upbraiding the of the person” “that would swallow me up” which means “who would gasp, pant, be eager and thirst for me, David”. “Selah” or “exalt, lift up and pause to meditate upon it”. David said Jehovah God would depart from the heavenly region and rescue him from the eager desire of the people wanted to destroy him, and he wanted everyone reading and listening to his words to pause and meditate upon this idea.

The verse continues,God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.” David added the words, “God shall send forth” or “the Divine judge Jehovah God will dispatch and assign” “his mercy” which means “his, Jehovah God's, goodness, kindness and faithfulness” “and his truth” or “and his, Jehovah God's, firmness, faithfulness, sureness and reliability”. David said Jehovah God would dispatch to him His goodness, kindness and faithfulness as well as His sureness and reliability.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn how David relied upon Jehovah God to depart from His heavenly abode with His goodness, kindness, faithfulness and reliability. God desires to have this kind of relationship with every person through His Son Jesus, and when we realize He died on the cross for the sins of the world and yield to Him, we will be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and enjoy a relationship with Him that includes the “sending forth” His “mercy and truth” to come to our rescue when opposition arises.

Next time David says, “My soul is among lions”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
