In Psalms chapter fifty seven David said, “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusts in you: yes, in the shadow of your wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast”, and in chapter fifty-seven and verse two of Psalms David said, “I will cry unto God most high”, where we read,
I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performs all things for me.
The verse begins, “I will cry unto God most high;” David began with the words, “I will cry” or “I, David, shall utter a loud sound, proclaim and summon” “unto God” which means “to the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “most high” or “the uppermost, Highest and lofty Supreme One”. David said he would shout aloud to the Divine judge Jehovah God who is the Highest and Supreme God.
The verse goes on to say, “unto God that performs all things for me.” David continued with the words, “unto God” or “to the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “that performs all things” which means “who perfects and completes each, every the whole and everyone of the acts and deeds” “for me” or “on behalf of me, David”. David said he would cry out to the Divine judge Jehovah God who perfected and completed everything on his behalf.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David knew to “shout aloud” unto the Almighty Divine judge Jehovah God because God alone was able to complete and furnish everything he needed. God loves people, and His desire is to care for them both in this life and in the life to come. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind , and when we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and bless us with His Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth and lead us where He desires. Let us “cry out” to Jehovah God and join David with proclaiming that He “performs all things for me”.
Next time David says, “He shall send from heaven, and save me”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
