As a Fiery Oven - Psalms 21:9

In Psalms chapter twenty-one David wrote about Jehovah God caring for the king and said, “you have made him most blessed for ever: you have made him exceeding glad with your countenance. For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. Your hand shall find out all your enemies: your right hand shall find out those that hate you”, and in chapter twenty one and verse nine of Psalms David said, “you shall make them as a fiery oven” where we read,

You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger:

the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

The verse begins, “You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger: David began with the words, “You shall make them” which means “You, Jehovah God, will put, set, appoint and fix the people and nations who hate God” “as a fiery oven” or “like a furnace, stove and fire pot for cooking” “in the time” which means “within the experience, fortune and occurrence” “of your anger” or “pertaining to your, Jehovah God's, face, front and presence”. David said Jehovah God would establish the people and nations who hate him to be like an hot oven prepared for cooking when His face is set against them.

The verse goes on to say,the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. David continued with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God” “shall swallow them up” which means “will devour, engulf and cover the people and nations who hate God” “in his wrath” or “within his, Jehovah God's, wrinkling of the nose or nostrils depicting ire and anger”, “and the fire” which means “and the supernatural flames and fiery fire” “shall devour them” or “will consume, slay and destroy the people and nations who hate God”. David wrote how Jehovah God would devour the people and nations who hate Him with His wrinkled nose depicting ire and supernatural flames.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how people and nations who hate God will not get away with their odious behavior toward Him forever. God loves people, but not everyone loves Him in return. He gave life to every person and nation, and without Him, they would not exist. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind. Those sins separate people from a relationship with Him, and the only way for them to be forgiven is to believe and trust in Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and bring us into a loving relationship with Him that will last forever. Praise be unto Jehovah God for His love for people and nations even when they hate Him and will be punished for doing so.

Next time David says, Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
