Remember All Your Offerings - Psalms 20:3

In Psalms chapter twenty David said, “The LORD hear you in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend you. Send you help from the sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion”, and in chapter twenty and verse three of Psalms David said, Remember all your offerings” where we read,

Remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice; Selah.

The verse begins, Remember all your offerings, ...” David began with the word, “Remember” which means “recall, call to mind and bring to remembrance” “all your offerings” or “each, every, the whole and everything the people needing help gifted, presented and bestowed upon Jehovah God”. David desired that Jehovah God would call to mind each and everything the people bestowed upon Him.

The verse continues,.... and accept your burnt sacrifice; Selah. David added the words, “and accept” or “anoint, make fat and prosper” “your burnt sacrifice” which means “the people's ascent, stairway and steps of worship”: “Selah” or “lift up, exalt and pause to meditate upon it”. David desired that Jehovah God would anoint and receive the “sacrifices of ascent” from the people who call upon Him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David thought is was important for Jehovah God to “remember” each of the gifts the people presented to Him, and that He would receive every “sacrifice” which was bestowed upon Him. God knows what we have presented to Him, and He is the master gift giver because He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Anyone who yields their life to Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life. Let us give praise to Jehovah God who indeed knows what we have bestowed upon Him and is willing to shed His grace upon anyone who humbles themselves and asks Him into their life.

Next time David says, Grant you according to your own heart, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
