In Psalms chapter twenty-one David wrote about Jehovah God caring for the king and said, “Your hand shall find out all your enemies: your right hand shall find out those that hate you. You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them”, and in Psalms chapter twenty one and verse ten David said, “Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth” where we read,
Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
The verse begins, “Their fruit shall you destroy from the earth, ...” David began with the words, “Their fruit” which means “the produce, offspring, children and progeny of the enemies of Jehovah God who hate Him” “shall you destroy” or “will you, Jehovah God, make perish, vanish, go astray and exterminate” “from the earth” which means “apart from the whole country, territory, district, region and world”. David said Jehovah God would exterminate the children of His enemies from the world.
The verse continues, “... and their seed from among the children of men.” David added the words, “and their seed” or “and the descendants, posterity and children” “from among the children” which means “apart and separate from the sons and grandsons” “of men” or “belonging to people both male and female”. David wrote how Jehovah God would not only exterminate His enemies' prodigy, but would also eliminate them from the sons and grandsons of mankind.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God would avenge Himself of the enemies who hate Him. God knows every person, and He knows those who are for Him, and those who are against Him. God loves everyone, but not all of them will receive His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”. Jesus said, “Enter you in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.” (See Matthew 7:13-14) God invites everyone to come to Him through His Son Jesus, and those who do will be forgiven of their sins and inherit eternal life with Him. Those who do not exist as His enemies who hate Him, and He will eliminate them and their offspring for all eternity.
Next time David says, “They intended evil against you”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
