Who is Like Unto You? - Psalms 35:10

In Psalms chapter thirty five David said, “Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: … let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he has hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation”, and in chapter thirty-five and verse ten of Psalms, David said, “all my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you?” where we read,

All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you, which deliver the poor from him that is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him?

The verse begins, All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto you, which deliver the poor from him that is too strong for him, ...” David began with the words, “All my bones shall say” which means “each, every, the whole and everyone of my, David's, physical bones, limbs and members of the body will utter, declare and proclaim”, “LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “who is like unto you” which means “what and which person exist similar and in likeness to you, Jehovah God”, “which deliver the poor” or “who snatches away, rescues, recovers and defends the afflicted, weak, humble and lowly” “from him that is too strong” which means “apart and separate from the people who are more stout, mighty, sharp and firm” “for him” or “on behalf or account of him, the person who is poor”. David said every one of his physical bones and limbs would ask, what person is like unto you, Jehovah God, who is able to rescue the weak, humble and lowly from people who are too stout and mighty for them.

The verse goes on to say, “... yes, the poor and the needy from him that spoils him? David continued with the words, “yes, the poor” or “even so and indeed, people who are afflicted, humble, lowly and weak” “and the needy” which means “and the people in want, subject to oppression and abuse and in need of deliverance from trouble” “from him that spoils him” or “apart and separate from the person whether male or female who seizes, plunders and takes him, David, by force”? David said Jehovah God would rescue and save people who are subject to oppression and abuse from those who plunder and take them by force.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David could find no one that compared to Jehovah God who could rescue him and people who are weak, in want and subject to oppression. God loves people, and He is willing to rescue them from their oppressors. The greatest oppression is sin, and Jehovah God sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified so people might be forgiven of their sins and live forever with Him. God becomes our salvation, protection and provision when we yield to Jesus, and we shall praise Him for all eternity for His blessings to the humble, lowly and weak.

Next time David says, False witnesses did rise up, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
