In Psalms chapter thirty four David wrote, “The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth”, and in chapter thirty-four and verse seventeen of Psalms, David said, “The righteous cry, and the LORD hears” where we read,
The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
The verse begins, “The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, ...” David began with the words, “The righteous cry” which means “the correct, lawful and right call out for help in distress or need”, “and the LORD hears” or “and Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God listens, gives heed, understands and regards”. David said people who are lawful and right call out to Jehovah God when they are in need and He listens to and regards what they have to say.
The verse goes on to say, “... and delivers them out of all their troubles.” David continued with the words, “and delivers them” or “and snatches out, liberates and rescues the righteous” “out of all their troubles” which means “from each, every, the whole and everyone of the righteous people's straits, distresses, afflictions and adversities”. David wrote how Jehovah God liberates people who are “righteous” from every one of their distresses and afflictions.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God pays attention to the shouting aloud of people who exist as correct and right, and He snatches out and liberates them from every one of their afflictions and distresses. Jehovah God loves people, and He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to “save” people from the penalty for their sins. We can be forgiven and inherit everlasting life with Him when we believe and trust in Jesus as our “Lord and Savior”. God is listening to people who have been made lawful and correct through His Son Jesus Christ, and He will rescue them when “troubles” and distresses arrive.
Next time David says, “The LORD is near unto them that are of a broken heart”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
