In Psalms chapter thirty three David wrote, “Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise”, and in chapter thirty three and verse four of Psalms David said, “For the word of the LORD is right” where we read,
For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth.
The verse begins, “For the word of the LORD is right;” David began with the words, “For the word” which means “because, since and on account that the speech, utterance, acts and matters” “of the LORD” or “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “is right” which means “exists as straight, upright, correct and pleasing”. David declared Jehovah God's “speech, utterance and acts” as correct, straight and pleasing.
The verse continues, “and all his works are done in truth.” David added the words, “and all his works” or “and each, every, the whole and everyone of his, Jehovah God's, deeds, labors, undertakings and actions” “are done in truth” which means “are performed and carried out steadily, with stability and faithfully”. David shared how every one of Jehovah God's deeds and actions are performed faithfully and with stability.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through David another reason why those hearing and listening to his words should be singing “a new song and playing skillfully with a loud noise”. Everything Jehovah God does is righteous and faithful, and there is nothing in which He is involved that He is not correct and unfaithful. God is a righteous God, and He is holy. He desires to have a personal relationship with every person, and He gave His Son Jesus to die for the sins of all mankind. With sin in our lives, we are separated from a relationship with Him, however, Jesus was crucified for those sins, and now everyone who believes and trusts in Him as their “Savior and Lord” will be forgiven of their sins, granted everlasting life and enjoy the righteous speech and truthful works of God in their lives. Let us give praise and honor to Jehovah God with music and songs for His perfect speech and trustworthy works which have been given to us.
Next time David says, “He loves righteousness and judgment”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
