In Psalms chapter thirty six David said, “O continue your lovingkindness unto them that know you; and your righteousness to the upright in heart. Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me”, and in chapter thirty six and verse twelve of Psalms David said, “there are the workers of iniquity fallen” where we read,
There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.
The verse begins, “There are the workers of iniquity fallen:” David began with the words, “there are the workers of iniquity” or “then or in that time are the practicers, makers and committers pertaining to trouble, wickedness and sorrow” “fallen” or “cast down, attacked, deserted and made inferior”. David contrasted the fate of people who commit wickedness with those who continue in Jehovah God's “lovingkindness” and the wicked are made inferior in that position.
The verse goes on to say, “they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.” David continued with the words, “they are cast down” or “the workers of iniquity are chased, pushed, driven away and violently thrust down”, “and shall not be able to rise” which means “and will in no manner or way have the capability of being raised, standing or being set and established”. David said the “workers of iniquity” were pushed and thrust down to the point of not having the capability of getting up again.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David the fate of people who make and commit “wickedness”. They not only are “fallen” down, but they have been pushed there. Jehovah God's desire is to have a personal relationship with every person, however, sin, error, wrong and mistakes committed by mankind keeps us separated from Him. God is holy, and those who come to Him must have their sin removed or they exist as these “workers of iniquity”. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”, (See John 3:16), and anyone who humbles themselves and yields to Jesus will be forgiven of their sins, granted everlasting life and enjoy the “lovingkindness” or “grace” of God. Otherwise they remain among the “workers of iniquity”, and they shall be “cast down, and shall not be able to rise”.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Fret not yourself because of evildoers”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
