In Psalms chapter thirty four David wrote, “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him”, and in chapter thirty-four and verse nine of Psalms, David said, “O fear the LORD, you his saints” where we read,
O fear the LORD, you his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.
The verse begins, “O fear the LORD, you his saints:” David began with the words, “O fear” which means “O be afraid, in awe and reverent to” “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “you his saints” which refers to “you, Jehovah God's sacred, set apart, holy and ceremonially or morally consecrated ones”. David encouraged the sacred believers in Jehovah God to revere and be in awe of Him.
The verse goes on to say, “for there is no want to them that fear him.” David continued with the words, “for there is no want” or “because, since and on account that there exists not any lack, need, poverty or thing needed” “to them that fear him” which means “to the people who are afraid, in awe and reverent toward Jehovah God”. David wrote how no one who reveres and is in awe of Jehovah God lacks for anything they need.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through David how there is a great benefit to having a reverent attitude toward Jehovah God. People who are in awe of Him have their every need supplied, (See Philippians 4:19) and when we humble ourselves before God's Son Jesus who was sent into the world to die for the sins of all mankind, we shall be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and enjoy the blessings of Him not only in this life, but also in Heaven forever. Let us give praise, honor, reverence and glory to Jehovah God for His willingness to be in a personal intimate relationship with every person who yields to His Son Jesus.
Next time David says, “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
