The LORD Heard This Poor Man - Psalms 34:6

In Psalms chapter thirty four David wrote, “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed”, and in chapter thirty-four and verse six of Psalms, David said, “This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him” where we read,

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The verse begins, This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, ... David began with the words, “This poor man cried” which means “the particular afflicted, poor, weak and wretched male human being who was David proclaimed, uttered a loud sound and summoned”, “and the LORD” which means “and Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “heard him” or “listened too, understood, consented, agreed with and granted him, David, his request”. David shared how he shouted aloud to Jehovah God, and He listened to him and granted his request.

The verse continues,... and saved him out of all his troubles. David added the words, “and saved him” or “and delivered, liberated and gave victory to him, David” “out of all his troubles” which means “from each, every, the whole and everyone of his, David's, distresses, straits and vexations”. David shared when he humbled himself before Jehovah God, God delivered and liberated him from every one of his distresses and straits.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David recognized his own wretchedness and weakness before Jehovah God. This caused him to “cry out” to Jehovah God, and God delivered him from every distress, vexation and affliction that he was experiencing. God loves to rescue people who humble themselves before Him, and when they yield themselves to His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive their sins and grant them everlasting life with Him in Heaven. This is God's plan of redemption for mankind, and it is the theme of the Bible. “God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (See John 3:16), and as we humble ourselves and cry out to Him, His plan of “salvation” will deliver us from all our difficulties and afflictions.

Next time David says, The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
