In Psalms chapter nineteen David wrote, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night shows knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them has he set a tabernacle for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race”, and in chapter nineteen and verse six of Psalms David said, “his going forth is from the end of the heavens” where we read,
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it:
and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The verse begins, “His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it:” David began with the words, “His going forth” which means “His, the sun's, proceeding, departure and pathway” “is from the end of heaven” or “exists apart from the extremity, boarder and outskirts belonging to the sky, atmosphere and universe”, “and his circuit” which means “and the sun's turning, coming around, journey, path and revolution” “unto the ends of it” or “to the extremity, edge and the uttermost part of the heaven”. David spoke of the revolution of the sun and it's travel around the world.
The verse continues, “and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.” David added the words, “and there is nothing hid” or “and there exists not one thing secret, concealed and carefully hidden” “from the heat thereof” which means “apart and separate from the warmth, energy and hotness of the sun”. David wrote how nothing on earth is unaffected by the sun's warmth and “heat”.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn how David paid careful attention to the sun and it's pathway because the revolution and heat of it spoke of Almighty God. This Creator God, who set the sun and it's path in the sky, desires to have a relationship with every person through His Son Jesus, and when we yield to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. God's sun and it's path is marvelous, and we all benefit from it, so let us join together and give Him praise and honor for all eternity for His wonderful benefits to mankind.
Next time David says, “the law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
