Fearing and Declaring the Work of God - Psalms 64:9

In Psalms chapter sixty-four David said the wicked, “search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away”, and in chapter sixty-four and verse nine of Psalms David said, “all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God” where we read,

And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

The verse begins, And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; David began with the words, “and all men” or “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the people both male and female” “shall fear” which means “will be in awe, revere, honor and respect”, “and shall declare” or “and will make known, announce, report, expound and speak about” “the work of God” which means “the deeds and acts belonging to the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David said everyone will be in awe and reverence Jehovah God and make known His mighty acts and deeds.

The verse goes on to say,for they shall wisely consider of his doing. David continued with the words, “for they shall wisely consider” or “because, since and on account that they, the people who are in awe of God and make Him known, will prudently and circumspectly give attention” “of his doing” which means “pertaining to his, the Divine judge Jehovah God's, deeds, works, undertakings, enterprises and achievements”. David said the people who are in awe of God and make His deeds and acts known will prudently give attention to Him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see through David that God defends and protects His own against the acts and deeds of the workers of iniquity. People will reverence God and share His “works” with others once they have prudently given thought to them. God created the Universe and everything within it. He knows mankind is separated from a relationship with Him because they have sinned - “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (See Romans 3:23). We all need Him to save us from the penalty of sin which is death. (See Romans 6:23) Jesus died in our place on the cross so that we may live with Him forever, and when we yield ourselves to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and encourage us to share with others the glorious acts and deeds of Jehovah God and His Son Jesus.

Next time David says, “the righteous shall be glad in the LORD”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
