Kings of Armies Fleeing - Psalms 68:12

In Psalms chapter sixty eight David said, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it, and in chapter sixty-eight and verse twelve of Psalms David said, “Kings of armies did flee apace” where we read,

Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

The verse begins, Kings of armies did flee apace: David began with the words, “Kings of armies” or “royal rulers over hosts or persons who are organized for war” “did flee apace” which means “retreated, departed, strayed and wandered abroad”. David referred to the way royal rulers with their soldiers who were prepared for war retreated and fled from Jehovah God.

The verse continues, and she that tarried at home divided the spoil. David added the words, “and she that tarried at home” or “and the woman who abode, dwelt and resided within their houses, dwelling places and abodes” “divided the spoil” which means “received, distributed, imparted and separated the booty, plunder and gain”. David said the women of Israel who remained in their homes separated the plunder and gain from the defeated armies.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David referred to the retreating of “Kings” and their “armies” as Jehovah God came against them, and the women who were at home received and distributed the plunder they gained. In other words, the powers who resisted the people of Jehovah God were not only to turn back from Him, but would be conquered and plundered by His people as well. God desires to have a personal relationship with every person through HisSon Jesus whom He sent into the world to die on the cross for their sins. When we submit to Him, we will be forgiven of our sins, granted everlasting life and receive Him as our protector and provider regardless of how many people or armies rise up against us.

Next time David tells what happens, “though you have lien among the pots”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
