God Who Hears Prayer - Psalms 65:2

In Psalms chapter sixty-five David said, “Praise waits for you, O God, in Sion: and unto you shall the vow be performed”, and in chapter sixty-five and verse two of Psalms David addresses Jehovah God, “that hears prayer” where we read,

O you that hear prayer, unto you shall all flesh come.

The verse begins, O you that hear prayer, ... David began with the words, “O you that hear” or “O you, Jehovah God, who listens to, understands, gives heed and attention to” “prayer” which means “intercession, supplication and by implication a hymn. David referred to Jehovah God who listens and pays attention to intercessions and supplications.

The verse continues, “... unto you shall all flesh come. David added the words, “unto you” or “to you, Jehovah God” “shall all flesh come” which means “will each, every, the whole and everyone of the living beings, kindred and blood-relations light upon, enter and be enumerated”. David said everyone would be enumerated before Jehovah God.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David referred to Jehovah God's listening and paying attention to the intercessions and supplications of people, and he knew everyone would eventually “come” before God. God invites us to “come” to Him through His Son Jesus whom He sent to the world to be crucified for the sins of all mankind. When we trust in, rely upon and cling to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to boldly make entrance unto Him to intercede for anything we have on our hearts and minds. (See Hebrews 4:16)

Next time David says, “Iniquities prevail against me”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
