Come and See the Works of God - Psalms 66:5

In Psalms chapter sixty-six David said, “All the earth shall worship you, and shall sing unto you; they shall sing to your name. Selah”, and in chapter sixty-six and verse five of Psalms David said, “come and see the works of God” where we read,

Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

The verse begins, Come and see the works of God: David began with the words, “come and see” or “move, walk, behold, observe and look at” “the works of God” which means “the acts, deeds, business and performance belonging to the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David invited his readers and listeners to move forward and perceive the acts and deeds of the Divine judge Jehovah God.

The verse continues,he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men. David added the words, “he is terrible” or “he, the Divine judge Jehovah God, exists as revered, honored and respected” “in his doing” which means “within his, Jehovah God's, deeds and practices” “toward the children of men” or “on behalf, on account and concerning the offspring and progeny belonging to people whether male or female”. David said the Divine judge Jehovah God is revered and honored within His acts and deeds on behalf of the offspring and progeny of people.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David invites his readers and listeners to observe the acts and deeds performed by Jehovah God because He is revered and honored in His practices toward the offspring of people. God loves everybody, and He wants to live with them on earth and in Heaven. He performs mighty acts and deeds every day so they will yield themselves to Him through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and invite us to perceive all the wonderful things He has done that we might believe and trust in Him.

Next time David says, “He turned the sea into dry land”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
