God Sending a Plentiful Rain - Psalms 68:9

In Psalms chapter sixty eight David said, “The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel”, and in chapter sixty-eight and verse nine of Psalms David said, “You, O God, did send a plentiful rain” where we read,

You, O God, did send a plentiful rain,

whereby you did confirm your inheritance, when it was weary.

The verse begins, You, O God, did send a plentiful rain, ... David began with the words, “You, O God” or “You, O Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”, “did send a plentiful rain” which means “assigned and dispatched an abundant, voluntary and freewill shower of water”. David said Jehovah God dispatched an abundant shower of water from the sky.

The verse goes on to say,... whereby you did confirm your inheritance, when it was weary. David continued with the words, “whereby you did confirm” or “through which you, Divine judge Jehovah God, established, set, made firm and fixed” “your inheritance” which means “your, the Divine judge Jehovah God's, possession, property, heritage and share”, “when it was weary” or “at the time and moment it, Jehovah God's inheritance, existed as impatient, grieved, offended and exhausted”. David referred to how Jehovah God established and made firm his possession and heritage at the time and moment the possession was exhausted and grieved.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how Jehovah God supplied an abundant rain shower for the people of Israel, and He established them when they were exhausted and impatient. God lead the people of Israel through the wilderness, and He desires to lead us as well. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us eternal life with Him. God “confirms” His “inheritance”, and His “inheritance” is everyone who surrenders themselves to His Son Jesus even when they are “weary, exhausted and grieving”.

Next time David says, “Your congregation has dwelt therein”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
