In Psalms chapter sixty eight David said, “You have ascended on high, you have led captivity captive: you have received gifts for men; yes, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them”, and in chapter sixty-eight and verse nineteen of Psalms David said, “blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits” where we read,
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
The verse begins, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, ...” David began with the words, “Blessed be the Lord” or “praised, saluted and abundantly adored exists Adonay who is the reverent Master”, “who daily loads us” which means “who each and every sunset to sunrise and sunset to sunrise imposes a weight or lading upon us, David and his fellow countrymen” “with benefits” or “having recompense, dealings and rewards”. David said his reverent Master Jehovah God extended to him and his fellow countrymen recompense and rewards every day.
The verse goes on to say, “even the God of our salvation. Selah.” David continued with the words, “even the God” or “indeed and also the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “of our salvation” which means “pertaining to our, David and his fellow countrymen's, deliverance, liberation, health and welfare”. “Selah” or “exalt, lift up and pause to meditate upon it”. David said the Divine judge Jehovah God existed as he and his fellow countrymen's deliverance and liberation, and anyone reading or hearing David's words should pause to meditate upon this idea.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David acknowledged the daily blessings and rewards of Jehovah God who existed as the deliverer and liberator of him and his fellow countrymen. God's desire is to bless everyone with a personal relationship with Him. Jesus said, “Seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you” (See Matthew 6:33), and He wants everyone to make Him first in their lives by receiving Him as a personal “Savior and Lord”. When we submit our lives to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and bless and liberate us every day of our lives on earth and also in Heaven to come.
Next time David says, “He that is our God is the God of salvation”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
