In Psalms chapter thirty David said, “I will extol you, O LORD; for you have lifted me up, and have not made my foes to rejoice over me”, and in chapter thirty and verse two of Psalms David said, “O LORD my God, I cried unto you”, where we read,
O LORD my God, I cried unto you, and you have healed me.
The verse begins, “O LORD my God, ...” David began with the words, “O LORD” which means “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “my God” or “my, David's, Divine ruler, judge and Supreme God”. David declared Jehovah God to be his Divine ruler, judge and Supreme God.
The verse continues, “... I cried unto you, and you have healed me.” David added the words, “I cried unto you” or “I, David, hallooed and shouted aloud to you, Jehovah God”, “and you have healed me” which means “and you, Jehovah God, have cured, made healthy and purified me, David, from defects and hurts”. David wrote how he shouted aloud to Jehovah God, and God responded by curing and making him whole from defects and hurts.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David knew Jehovah God would respond to him when he simply “cried out” to Him. God will hear us when we call out to Him especially when we acknowledge that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins. God wants to “cure” people from their spiritual defects and hurts, and when we cry out to Him, He provides His salvation, blessings and grace as we believe and trust in His Son Jesus.
Next time David says, “O LORD, you have brought up my soul from the grave”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
