All Nations Shall Worship Jehovah God - Psalms 86:9

In Psalms chapter eighty six David said, “In the day of my trouble I will call upon you: for you will answer me. Among the gods there is none like unto you, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto your works”, and in chapter eighty six and verse nine of Psalms David said, “all nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you” where we read,

All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord;

and shall glorify your name.

The verse begins, All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; David began with the words, “All nations” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of the tribes and people groups” “whom you have made” which means “that you, Jehovah God, have fashioned, accomplished, worked and produced” “shall come” or “will approach and draw near” “and worship you” which means “and reverence, prostrate and reflex themselves in homage to you, Jehovah God” “before you” or “in front and in the presence of you, Jehovah God”. David said every “nation” and people group in the world would draw near to Jehovah God, bow down in His presence and revere and pay homage to Him.

The verse goes on to say,and shall glorify your name. David continued with the words, “and shall glorify” or “and will praise and honor” “your name” which means “your, Jehovah God's, fame, reputation and glory”. David said all the nations would appear before Jehovah God and praise and honor Him for His fame, reputation and glory.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David knew the future for all the nations and people groups of the world. Paul the apostle wrote, “it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God” (See Romans 14:11), and God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind so we can bow in advance. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to join those who bow before Jesus in advance to glorify Him as “King of Kings” and “Lord of Lords”.

Next time David says, “For you are great, and do wondrous things”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
