Jehovah Great and Doing Wondrous Things - Psalms 86:10

In Psalms chapter eighty six David said of Jehovah God, “All nations whom you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord; and shall glorify your name”, and in chapter eighty six and verse ten of Psalms David said, “For you are great, and do wondrous things” where we read,

For you are great, and do wondrous things: you are God alone.

The verse begins, For you are great, and do wondrous things: David began with the words, “for you are great” or “because, since and on account that you, Jehovah God, exist as large, important, distinguished and high”, “and do wondrous things” which means “and perform, accomplish and fashion marvelous, extraordinary and surpassing acts, deeds and works”. David said Jehovah God's wonderful acts, deeds and works made Him worthy to be praised and honored by all nations.

The verse continues, you are God alone. David added the words, “you are God” or “you, Jehovah God, exist as the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “alone” which means “solely and by your own self”. David declared Jehovah God to solely be the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David recognized Jehovah God's extraordinary acts and deeds inspired all groups, people and nations to appear before Him and give Him praise. God loves people, and His greatest work was sending His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to be among the people of the world who shall bow down before Him and give Him praise, honor and glory for being “God alone”.

Next time David says, “teach my your way, O LORD”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
