Micha, Rehob and Hashabiah - Nehemiah 10:11

In the book of Nehemiah, Nehemiah speaking of the “sealing” of the “sure covenant” the people of Israel made with Jehovah God said, Now those that sealed were, Nehemiah, the Tirshatha” and others including, “the priests, and the Levites, and their brethren, Shebaniah, Hodijah, Kelita, Pelaiah, Hanan, ...”, and in chapter ten and verse eleven of Nehemiah, Nehemiah named, “Micha, Rehob and Hashabiah” where we read,

Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah

The verse reads, Micha, Rehob, Hashabiah Nehemiah began with the word, “Micha” whose name means “who is like God”, “Rehob” or “broad place”, “Hashabiah” whose name means “Jehovah has considered”. Nehemiah shared howMicha, Rehob and Hashabiah” were among the fellow “Levites” who signed the agreement with Jehovah God.

When we consider Nehemiah's words in this verse, we discover three more men of Israel who were fellow “Levites” who “sealed” the “sure covenant” with God. God wants everyone to be in a personal intimate relationship with Him, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and He resurrected Him from the dead three days later. When we put our faith and trust in Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and include us in His list of “names” with whom He has made an eternal covenant.

Next time Nehemiah mentions, “Zaccur, Sherebiah and Shebaniah”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
