Psalms chapter thirty eight David said, “For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart”, and in chapter thirty eight and verse nine of Psalms David said, “Lord, all my desire is before you” where we read,
Lord, all my desire is before you; and my groaning is not hid from you.
The verse begins, “Lord, all my desire is before you;” David began with the words, “Lord, all my desire” or “Adonay and the reverent master the whole and every bit of my, David's, wish and exceedingly abundant longing” “is before you” which means “exists in front and in the presence of you, Jehovah God who is the Lord”. David shared with the “Lord” his master how he knew that his wish was in front of Him.
The verse goes on to say, “and my groaning is not hid from you.” David continued with the words, “and my groaning” or “and my, David's, sighing as an expression of grief or physical distress” “is not hid from you” which means “does not exist as kept concealed and secret as well as separate and apart from you, Lord Jehovah God”. David shared how his personal sighing was not kept concealed from Jehovah God his “Lord”.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David understood that his every request, passion and hope was in the presence of his “Lord” who was Jehovah God. David knew God saw his sighing in anguish, and because God loved David, He would attend to his concerns. God loves everyone, and when we submit to His Son Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and attend to our every need. (See 1 Peter 5:7 and Philippians 4:19). Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God for caring for us both now and forever through the means of His Son Jesus who died on the cross so that we may have access to Him.
Next time David says, “my heart pants, and my strength fails me”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
