The LORD's Salvation of the Righteous - Psalms 37:39

In Psalms chapter thirty seven David said, “Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off”, and in chapter thirty seven and verse thirty-nine of Psalms David said, “the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD” where we read,

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

The verse begins, But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: David began with the words, “But the salvation” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover the deliverance, rescue, help, safety and victory” “of the righteous” which means “belonging to people whether male or female who are just, lawful, correct and right” “is of the LORD” or “exists as belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David said the deliverance and safety of people who are just, lawful and correct comes from Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say,he is their strength in the time of trouble. David continued with the words, “he is their strength” or “he, Jehovah God, exists as their, the righteous people's, safety, protection, refuge, harbor and stronghold” “in the time of trouble” which means “within the occurrence, occasion and experiences pertaining to straits, distresses, adversities, afflictions and distresses”. David wrote how Jehovah God exists as the safety and protection for people who are “righteous” whenever they encounter difficulties, distresses and adversities.

When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through David how the source of “safety and victory” for people who are “righteous” is Jehovah God, and He is their refuge, protection and stronghold whenever distresses and afflictions arise. Jesus told His disciples, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (See John 16:33), and we shall certainly encounter troubles, difficulties and afflictions as long as we live in this world. However, when we have received Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and accompany us in every difficulty we encounter. We can rely upon Jesus to keep us safe, give us victory and reward us for enduring hardships in this life, and we shall praise Him for all eternity for His provision and protection when they arise.

Next time David says, the LORD shall help them, and deliver them, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
