From the Place of His Habitation - Psalms 33:14

In Psalms chapter thirty three David wrote, “The LORD looks from heaven; he beholds all the sons of men”, and in chapter thirty three and verse fourteen of Psalms David shares how Jehovah God looks, “from the place of his habitation” where we read,

From the place of his habitation he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

The verse begins, From the place of his habitation ... David began with the words, “from the place” which means “apart and separate from the fixed and established foundation” “of his habitation” or “belonging to his, Jehovah God's, settling dwelling and abode”. David said Jehovah God looks upon the “sons of men” from His established dwelling place and abode.

The verse continues,... he looks upon all the inhabitants of the earth. David added the words, “he looks” or “he, Jehovah God, peeps, gazes or glances sharply” “upon all the inhabitants” which means “on each, every, the whole and everyone of the people who dwell, remain, sit and abide” “of the earth” or “within the land, country, territory, district and region”. David shared how Jehovah God gazes sharply toward every person who lives and dwells in the world.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how God “sees” us. He's watching us, and He's doing so with great interest and care. God loves people, and He desires to have an intimate personal relationship with everyone. Because sin separates people from God, He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we receive Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us eternal life and involve Himself in our lives by His Holy Spirit. Let us give glory, honor and praise to God who loves us so much, that He can't keep His eyes off us.

Next time David shares how Jehovah, fashions their hearts alike, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
