Many are the Afflictions of the Righteous - Psalms 34:19

In Psalms chapter thirty four David wrote, The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. The LORD is near unto them that are of a broken heart; and saves such as be of a contrite spirit.”, and in chapter thirty-four and verse nineteen of Psalms, David said, “Many are the afflictions of the righteous” where we read,

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

The verse begins, Many are the afflictions of the righteous:” David began with the word, “many” which means “great, abounding, numerous and exceeding” “are the afflictions” or “exist the bad, disagreeable, unpleasant and wicked distresses, adversities and wrong” “of the righteous” which means “belonging to the correct, lawful, just and right”. David said people who are “right and correct” have an abundant amount of disagreeable, unpleasant and wicked distresses and adversities.

The verse goes on to say,but the LORD delivers him out of them all. David continued with the words, “but the LORD” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “delivers him” which means “snatches away, rescues, saves and recovers the righteous” “out of them all” or “apart and separate from each, every, the whole and everyone of the afflictions”. David wrote how Jehovah God rescues the righteous person from every “affliction” they encounter.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David acknowledged the “difficulties and unpleasant adversities” of people who are “righteous”, and even through they are allowed, Jehovah God rescues and liberates them from those “afflictions”. God loves us, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of every person. When we submit our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and liberate us from every wicked destress and adversity we encounter.

Next time David says, He keeps all his bones, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
