The Angel of the LORD Encamps - Psalms 34:7

In Psalms chapter thirty four David wrote, “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles”, and in chapter thirty-four and verse seven of Psalms, David said, “The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him” where we read,

The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, and delivers them.

The verse begins, The angel of the LORD encamps round about them that fear him, ... David began with the words, “The angel” which means “the messenger or representative dispatched as a deputy” “of the LORD” which means “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “encamps round about them” or “pitches a tent, abides and dwells with the people whether male or female” “that fear him” which means “who are afraid, morally revere and are in awe of Jehovah God”. David said Jehovah God's messenger or representative pitches a tent around people who revere and are in awe of Him.

The verse goes on to say,... and delivers them. David continued with the words, “and delivers” or “and removes, loosens, withdraws and saves” “them” which means “the people who fear Jehovah God”. David wrote how Jehovah God rescues people who revere and are in awe of Him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God dispatches His “spiritual representative” to dwell with people who are in awe of Him. God looks for people who humble themselves, repent of their sins and revere Him and His plan of salvation through Jesus His Son, and He will rescue them from the penalty for sins when they do. God loves us, and He wants to live with us throughout all eternity, (See 1 Corinthians 5:21) and when we believe and trust in Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us eternal life and rescue us to live with Him forever.

Next time David says, O taste and see that the LORD is good, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
