The LORD Knows the Upright's Days - Psalms 37:18

In Psalms chapter thirty seven David said, “A little that a righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholds the righteous”, and in chapter thirty seven and verse eighteen of Psalms David said, “the LORD knows the days of the upright” where we read,

The LORD knows the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

The verse begins, The LORD knows the days of the upright: David began with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God” “knows the days” or “perceives, sees, discerns, distinguishes and considers the sunrises to sunsets” “of the upright” which means “belonging to people who are complete, entire, sound, healthful, wholesome, unimpaired and innocent”. David said Jehovah God is aware of the time periods belonging to people who are wholesome and innocent.

The verse goes on to say,and their inheritance shall be for ever. David continues the words, “and their inheritance” or “and the possession, property, inheritance, heritage and portion of the upright” “shall be for ever” which means “will exist throughout a long duration, evermore, perpetually and unto continuous existence”. David said the possession and inheritance of the “upright” will exist for all eternity.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God is well aware of the time people who are “upright” will live, and His promise is that their possessions will endure perpetually. God's desire is to give every person the gift of eternal salvation and rewards that will last forevermore. He sent His Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let us pursue a personal relationship with Jehovah God through His Son Jesus Christ and invite Him to bless us with all spiritual blessings that last for all eternity. (See Ephesians 1:3)

Next time David says, they shall not be ashamed in the evil time, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
