The Righteous Not Forsaken or Begging Bread - Psalms 37:25

In Psalms chapter thirty seven David said, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholds him with his hand”, and in chapter thirty seven and verse twenty-five of Psalms David said he has, “not seen he righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging for bread” where we read,

I have been young, and now am old;

yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

The verse begins, I have been young, and now am old; David began with the words, “I have been young” or “I, David, existed as a boy, lad or youth”, “and now I am old” which means “and at this time and moment I, David, exist as an aged man”. David referred to the time when he was a youthful boy, and at the time of this writing he was an aged man.

The verse goes on to say,yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. David continued with the words, “yet have I not seen” or “however, except and otherwise in no way have I, David, observed, noticed, discovered or discerned” “the righteous forsaken” which means “the just, lawful, right, correct and vindicated by God abandoned, left along, neglected or apostatized”, “nor his seed” or “no and not in any way his, Jehovah God's, offspring, descendants, posterity or children” “begging bread” which means “requiring, demanding or seeking to exact food, grain, fruit, meat or victuals”. David said he never observed Jehovah God's children abandoned nor demanding and seeking for food.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see through David how Jehovah God provides for His children and does not abandon them. David remembered what it was like to be a young person, and at this time he was older, and at no time in his life did he observe the offspring of God alone and having to demand food. God provides for His own, and anyone who yields their life to His Son Jesus as their “Savior and Lord” will gain access to His spiritual company and nourishment that lasts forever and ever. Jesus came to die on the cross for the sins of the world, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life, be with and provide for us all the days of our lives. Let all praise, honor and glory be given to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus for their willingness to never forsake us and to supply all our needs. (See Hebrews 13:5 and Philippians 4:19)

Next time David says the righteous person is, ever merciful, and lends, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
