How Does God Know? - Psalms 73:11

In Psalms chapter seventy-three Asaph said, “I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked”, and because they seem to prosper Asaph added, “Therefore his people return here: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them”, and in chapter seventy-three and verse eleven of Psalms Asaph shared how the people asked, how does God know?where we read,

And they say, How does God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?

The verse begins, And they say, How does God know? Asaph began with the words, “and they say” or “and the people who gathered unto the foolish and wicked to listen to their words utter, declare, proclaim and ask”, “how does God know” which means “in what way does the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God perceive, understand, discern, discriminate and comprehend what the foolish and wicked do”? Asaph shared how the people who are foolish and wicked along with their followers question in what way “the Supreme God” would understand or perceive what they do.

The verse goes on to say,and is there knowledge in the most High? Asaph continued with the words, “and is there knowledge” or “and does there exist cognition and perception” “in the most High” which means “within the Highest, Lofty and Supreme God”? Asaph said the foolish and wicked people question whether there is any perception of their ways with God Most High.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the foolish and wicked people along with their assemblage wonder if God even knows what they are doing. God is omniscient, and there is nothing hidden from Him. Because consequences do not appear immediately, people often mistake God's patience for lack of knowledge, care or even approval for their wicked ways. The Bible is very clear,Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap” (See Galatians 6:7). God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind because He knows we need a Savior from our sins. When we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and cleanse us from every error and wrong we have ever done.

Next time Asaph says, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
