Blessed be God's Glorious Name - Psalms 72:19

In Psalms chapter seventy-two David said, “Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only does wondrous things”, and in chapter seventy-two and verse nineteen of Psalms David said, “blessed be his glorious name for ever” where we read,

And blessed be his glorious name for ever:

and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.

The verse begins, And blessed be his glorious name for ever: David began with the words, “and blessed be” or “adored, saluted and celebrated exists” “his glorious name” which means “his, Jehovah God's, fame, reputation and glory” “for ever” or “for long duration, futurity, everlasting, evermore, perpetually and always”. David continued his praise and adoration of Jehovah God as he worshiped His fame, reputation and glory.

The verse goes on to say,and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen. David continued with the words, “and let the whole earth” or “and allow and permit the entire and total land, country, territory, region and world” “be filled with his glory” which means “exist as full, accomplished, satisfied and complete with his, Jehovah God's, honor, abundance, riches, splendor and dignity”; “Amen, and Amen” or “verily, truly and surely, surely so be it and so be it”. David desired to allow the entire world to be satisfied and completed with God's abundance, splendor and dignity, and he concluded this idea with saying “let it be so” and “let it be so”.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David continued to “bless” Jehovah God as he desired that God's fame, reputation and glory exist forever. He wanted the entire world to be “filled” with the honor, abundance, splendor and dignity of God, and he confirmed his desires with the affirmation of “so be it” and “so be it”. God's desire is to be first in the lives of every person in the world through His Son Jesus. He sent Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to give Him praise, honor and glory for all eternity.

Next time David says, “the prayers of David … are ended”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
