The Earth and It's Inhabitants Dissolved - Psalms 75:3

In Psalms chapter seventy-five Asaph shared how Jehovah God said, “When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly”, and in chapter seventy-five and verse three of Psalms Asaph shared how Jehovah God continued with the words, The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolvedwhere we read,

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

The verse begins, The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved:” Asaph began with the words, “the earth” or “the country, region, land and world” “and all the inhabitants thereof” which means “and each, every, the whole and everyone of the people who dwell within the earth” “are dissolved” or “exist as melted, dissipated and consumed”. Asaph shared how Jehovah God declared that the world and everyone within it would be consumed.

The verse goes on to say,I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.” Asaph continued with the words, “I bear up” or “I, Jehovah God, regulate, ponder, balance, make even and level” “the pillars of it” which means “the columns, platform or stand of the earth”. “Selah” or “lift up, exalt and pause to meditate upon it”. Asaph shared how Jehovah God said He was responsible for the platform and stand of the earth.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how Asaph spoke of Jehovah God's declaration that He was responsible for the foundation of the earth. God created the earth and everything within it, (See Genesis 1:1-3), and He made mankind in His image. His desire was to have fellowship and communion with people, but when they sinned, that relationship was broken. God continued to want a relationship with people, so He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us to meditate upon His power and might that sets and keeps the columns and pillars of the world.

Next time Asaph says, Deal not foolishly, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
