Workers of Iniquity with No Knowledge - Psalms 53:4

In Psalms chapter fifty three David said, “God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one”, and in chapter fifty-three and verse four of Psalms David asked, “Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?”, where we read,

Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?

who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

The verse begins, Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?” David began with the words, “Have the workers of iniquity” or “do the makers, committers and practicers pertaining to trouble, wickedness, sorrow and idolatry” “no knowledge” which means “not any perception, discernment, discrimination and experience”? David asked whether the people who commit wickedness have any perception, discrimination or experience.

The verse continues, who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.” David added the words, “who eat up my people” or “that devour, burn up and consume my, Jehovah God's, human beings whether male or female” “as they eat bread” which means “in the same manner and likeness to when they, Jehovah God's people, devour and consume grain, bread-corn or food in general”: “they have not called upon” or “the workers of iniquity have in no way or manner cried out, summoned or invited” “God” which means “the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David said the people who commit evil deeds and acts demonstrate their lack of perception by consuming and devouring God's people in the same manner as they eat food, and they never cry out to Jehovah God.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David questioned whether people who commit evil have any perception of their errors. He said they not only consume God's people, but they also neglect summoning Jehovah God at all. God desires to have an intimate personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we humble ourselves, turn from our sins and ask Jesus to forgive our sins, He will do so and grant to us everlasting life. Even though we have “no knowledge” and devour others with our acts and deeds, when we cry out to Jehovah God He will allow us to know Him and teach us how to bless others rather than devour them.

Next time David says, “there were they in great fear, where no fear was”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
