Jehovah Showing His Marvelous Kindness - Psalms 31:21

In Psalms chapter thirty one David said, Oh how great is your goodness, which you have laid up for them that fear you; which you have wrought for them that trust in you before the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret of your presence from the pride of man: you shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues”, and in chapter thirty one and verse twenty-one of Psalms David said to Jehovah God, “He has showed me his marvelous kindness” where we read,

Blessed be the LORD: for he has showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city.

The verse begins, Blessed be the LORD:” David began with the word, “Blessed” which means “Adored, praised and saluted” “be the LORD” or “exists Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David broke out in praise of Jehovah God for the following reason.

The verse continues, for he has showed me his marvelous kindness in a strong city. David added the words, “for he has showed me” or “because, since and on account that he, Jehovah God, causes, makes to appear and displays to me, David,” “his marvelous kindness” which means “his, Jehovah God's, wonderful, surpassing and extraordinary goodness, faithfulness and favor” “in a strong city” or “within a siege enclosed and entrenched town, guarded court or encampment”. David shared how Jehovah God exposed His surpassing and extraordinary goodness and favor to him within a guarded encampment or dwelling place.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how David broke out in praise to Jehovah God because He display His surpassing and extraordinary favor to him within the guarded encampment within which David lived. God desires to display His extraordinary favor toward all people, and anyone who believes and trusts in His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord” will enjoy the grace, protection, love and favor of Almighty God. He wants to be our protector and provider, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will manifest His lovingkindness to us every day.

Next time David says, I said in my haste, I am cut off, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
